North Bank Deer Habitat - November 21, 2015
Coordinator John Malone, narration by Lois Soulia and pictures by Richard O'Neill

Because of probable snow, the November hike scheduled for Cow Horn Mountain was switched to North Bank Habitat.  At least twelve people and John’s doggy friend, Teddy turned out to enjoy the scarce sunshine as they trudged up and up the mountains with time- outs to turn and survey the foggy valleys below.  The temperature was in the 40’s but the lack of rain was a bonus, the trail was not a mud bath as it could have been..  It was a perfect day to enjoy views and sunshine before the real winter weather hits.  Some of the group did the East trailhead looping back towards Glide for a longer hike and three others did the shuttle from the east trailhead  and back out  to the western trailhead.  It was a good day to work off some calories before Thanksgiving.
