Hiking and COVID-19

In terms of contagious disease transmission, hiking is one of the safest activities you can participate in: The risk of transmission is extremely low when compared to other social activities. However, we must be mindful of those who may be vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19. With that in mind, we encourage all hikers to be courteous of others as we pursue and enjoy the same endeavor of hiking in the great outdoors.

Be respectful: By now, we all know the risks associated with COVID-19. Please be mindful and respectful of fellow hikers who wish to abide by social distancing protocols.
Carpooling: Carpooling with other hikers should be conducted with the consent of all parties involved. All carpoolers assume the risks involved herein.
During the hike: As stated above, please be respectful of those in our group, and others we may encounter on the trail. It’s not hard to do, and you will still enjoy the hike!
